Job description

The Futureproofed Business team is expanding and is looking for a new consultant sustainable business strategies. As a consultant, you provide companies with expert insights on sustainability and take ownership of a project, from sales to execution. We equally share the workload and responsibility within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Together with the team you’ll plan and roll-out the Futureproofed Business strategic approach
  • Assess the climate, environmental and social impact of customers, their investments, services, or products (with carboncap or other tools)
  • Set-up and manage sustainability strategy programs with our customers
  • Explore new leads, hold sales meetings and write proposals
  • Understand and analyse the challenges our customers are facing.
  • Organise and lead (online) workshops, presentations, interviews, etc.
  • Lead customer meetings, conference calls
  • Report to our customers
  • Perform projects within deadlines, planning and budget
  • Build and maintain sustainable customer relationships
  • Feed yourself with sustainability knowledge


Minimum qualifications

  • Motivation to tackle climate change and interest in the opportunities it brings
  • Good knowledge (through education or interest) of:
  • Climate change and sustainable business models (at least 1 year of relevant experience)
  • Calculating a carbon footprint (using GHG Protocol)
  • How to be compliant with international carbon and sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (GHG Protocol, BREEAM, …)
  • Think on a strategic level with our customers
  • Guide workshops and be able to comfortably present in front of a group
  • Master spreadsheets (we’ll do a small skills test during the application)
  • Write reports and make presentations in a structured way., fluent writing skills.
  • Be customer oriented and have excellent communication skills
  • Master Dutch and English at a proficient level, in writing, speaking and understanding
  • Self-motivated, able to handle responsibility and to work independent
  • Outspoken and constructive, keen on working in a (small) team

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French or other languages
  • + 3 years of work or other practical experience
