ALPRO is a company with a vision, aiming to change the way the world eats for the better. Their voyage of discovery started over 30 years ago with nutritious soya, turning it into plant-based alternatives for milk, yogurt, cream and margarine. In recent years, almond, hazelnut, rice, coconut and oat have been added to their list of ingredients, so that anyone and everyone could enjoy plant powered foods.
In order to accelerate the success of plant based food and drink products, ALPRO asked Futureproofed and FAS Research to map its key influencers in the UK.
Trajectory & results
First, the project team worked with a group of experts to determine variables of a healthy, sustainable and balanced diet and the role of plant-based foods, through software developed by FAS Research. Next, we identified key decision makers and influencers for plant based drink & food choices in the UK and visualized these results in a map of stakeholder interactions. This was important to understand the positions of key opinion leaders in the food network to develop a strategy.
