'Le domaine de Graux' is an old farm that has been retrofitted to a conference centre.

Futureproofed was asked to give ecological building advise. But we did not only look at the building. Stepping back and looking at the congres centre project as a whole we found out that transportation of customers would become the major factor of carbon emissions. Yearly emissions due to transportation appeared to be 8 times more important than the yearly emissions due to energy consumption of the entire congres centre. Aiming for minimum emissions, this information allowed the owner to promote alternative transportation.
