Project features

BIM / IGBE is a government service for energy and environment of the Brussels region .

IBGE-BIM aims for their conferences to be environmentally exemplary.

For BIM / IGBE we made the carbon footprint of the conference. This carbon footprint considered CO2 emissions caused by transport of persons, freight, buildings, food, services & supplies, energy use, direct waste and non-energy in house (refrigerant gasses). Doing this we help to transparently communicate about where they do well, and where they still have improvement opportunities. Based on this carbon footprint, the customer was able to make a presentation raising awareness of the conference participants. The customer received very positive feedback.

BIM / IGBE is aware that everything that they do to organize this conference leaves its mark on the environment. For now, there is no such thing as a sustainable business, but they are trying hard to lighten their conferences footprint and do less harm.
