Hello everyone,
It would be great if you could to help spread the "Dance for the Climate" video to the network of TCP. This is a movie made by Nic Balthazar and more than 10.000 volunteers on the beach of Ostend in Belgium last august.
It took an incredible team of volunteers, all donating their time and efforts to make it happen. Movie production companies made available production equipment that would make JJ Abrams jealous (6 cameras, one steadycam, 2 cranes, one 3D camera). Sponsors helped foot the bill. U2 granted the rights to their song "Magnificent" for use in the clip, and more than 10.000 people came to Ostend to learn the choreo to the dance and participate in what must be one the largest climate dance.
Now the result is here, and it was worth the wait.
Word is that the Copenhagen Climate summit would already fail to deliver. Let's all join the movement to tell them that failure is just not an option.
We just need to start moving! Together.
Would you be able to send the film clip to all your contacts ?
We are also looking for further help with the international distribution of the clip. Our strategy has 3 strands: distribution through
Organisations sending the clip through their online communication tools (e-mail, social networking sites, website)
- TV broadcasting (possibly in cooperation with weather broadcasters)
- Cinema
- In general an important part of the work will be to contact by e-mail and telephone organisations, TV channels, cinema's and weather broadcasters all over the planet. All additional ideas you have through which channels you could distribute the clip are welcome!
Last but not least, we will launch the clip on Tuesday through the http://www.dancefortheclimate.org website, where you will be able to upload a video of yourself, together with your friends, family, collegues, school and so on, dancing together for the climate. This way, the dance demonstration will continue, around the planet, so please do not hesitate to upload a video and invite your contacts to do the same.
You can find the "Dance for the Climate" on Facebook below
Thanks so much,
Kind regards,
Serge de Gheldere
